It depicts HMS Rose an antiquated destroyer manned by a crew of misfits being sent out in 1940 to stop the German invasion of Norway. Everyone in the Navy thought the HMS Rose a jinx ship, no one would want to serve on this old tub. But some did, and with conspicuous bravery in those dark days of 1940 they made the Germans pay for their gains in that remote country.
